Summary

Description This colorful lizard can be seen in the reptile house at the Houston Zoo. I had seen it many times, but only its head and a little of its front half. It always hid inside the log on which we see it here. In this photo, we can see the reason for its name: except for its nose, it has a shape very much like that of a crocodile. It is about ten inches long.
