êle (plural ilôtro, female êla)
- third-person singular personal pronoun; he/she/they (singular)
- Êle nádi vai ― He/she/they (sg.) will not go
Usage notes[edit]
- In general, Macanese does not make a gender distinction for the third-person singular personal pronoun, similar to Cantonese, however some speakers may use êla for "she", derived from Portuguese ela.
