Old East Slavic хероувимъ (xeruvimŭ) (cf. Old Church Slavonic херовимъ (xerovimŭ)), from Ancient Greek χερουβίμ (kheroubím), ultimately from Hebrew כְּרוּבִים (k'ruvím), plural of כְּרוּב (k'rúv).
