Etymology[edit]

From Proto-Indo-European *ml(h₂)-e- or *ml(h₂)-eye-, from *melh₂- (to grind).

Verb[edit]

մալեմ (malem)

  1. (transitive) to grind, to crush, to break, to break to pieces; to chew
  2. (transitive) to castrate
    մալեալmalealcastrated; eunuch
