Etymology[edit]
Compound of آلُه / اَلُه / اَلوه (âloh, aloh, aluh, “eagle”) (from Middle Persian ʾlwh (āluh, “eagle”)) and either the dialectal (Qazvin) آموخت (âmu(x)t, “taught”), or آموت (âmut, “nest”).
