Etymology[edit]

فَعِيل (faʕīl)-type stative-verb derived from the active participle from the verb فَصُحَ (faṣuḥa, to become eloquent).

فَصِيح (faṣīḥ) (feminine فَصِيحَة (faṣīḥa), common plural فِصَاح (fiṣāḥ), masculine plural فُصَحَاء (fuṣaḥāʔ) or فُصُح (fuṣuḥ), feminine plural فَصِيحَات (faṣīḥāt) or فَصَائِح (faṣāʔiḥ), elative أَفْصَح (ʔafṣaḥ))
