From Hebrew פַּרְעֹה (parʿōh), from Egyptian 𓉐𓉻 (pr-ˁ3, great house), from 𓉐 (pr, house) + 𓉻 (ˁ3, big). Compare Arabic فِرْعَوْن‎ (firʿawn).
