Borrowed from Middle Chinese 粉 (MC pjunX). Cognate with Thai ฝุ่น (fùn), Lao ຝຸ່ນ (fun), Tai Dam ꪄꪴ꪿ꪙ, Shan ၽုၼ်ႇ (phùn).
