- (typography) Used chiefly in East Asian languages, to mark the first or Ath item or subitem in a list.
- Circle-A, the symbol for anarchy or anarchism.
- U+24B6 was not in any way intended to be the anarchism symbol, where the A and surrounding circle (originally the letter O) are supposed to overlap (see right). It is however the closest character in Unicode and commonly used for this.
