Decomposition of (die) into the katakana characters (ta) and (hi) + the verbal suffix 〜る (-ru).

Verb[edit]

タヒる (tahiruintransitive godan (stem タヒり (tahiri), past タヒった (tahitta))

  1. (slang) to die
  2. (slang) to feel so bad that one feels one could die

Usage notes[edit]

The imperative form may also be タヒね (tahine).

On the Internet, タヒ is usually written in half-width katakana so as to resemble the kanji more.
