Etymology[edit]

From Uyghur ياخشى (yaxshi, to be good). From a Xinjiang musical dance program on the 2010 CCTV New Year's Gala, named "The Party's Policy - Yaxshi!" (政策亚克西), felt by many to be overly propagandizing.
