  1. Brown granules used in traditional Chinese medicine "to replenish yin of the kidney in the treatment of deficiency of the kidney yin marked by dizziness, tinnitus, aching and limpness of the loins and knees, consumptive fever, night sweating, seminal emission or diabetes".
