Etymology[edit]

Literally: the emperor star. It is located in the middle of the constellation known as Purple Forbidden enclosure. The Purple Forbidden enclosure resembled an imperial palace. Consequently, many of the stars were named for the person or building that might have been located in a given part of the palace.
