Etymology[edit]

From Chinese (the clan name of the House of Ying, from the duchy of Zhao) + ("first lunar month")

Pronunciation[edit]

Proper noun[edit]

赵正

  1. (archaic) Zhao Zheng, the personal name of Shi Huangdi, the First Emperor of the Qin dynasty

Usage notes[edit]

The name is derived from combining Shi Huangdi's (clan name) and (given name). Although this was customary at the time, it has become much more common in modern Chinese to use his ancestral name () of Ying instead when referring to his personal name.
