Translingual[edit]
Etymology[edit]
Roughly Phono-semantic compound (形聲): semantic ⻌ + phonetic 呂 – moving after, pursuit.
Note that line between the two boxes is on the left side, rather than in the center (as in 宮, 呂). The same shape is found in 歸, also as phonetic, and also in 官, though this latter is of semantic origin (as rooms).
Han character[edit]
追 (radical 162 辵+6, 10 strokes, cangjie input 卜竹口口 (YHRR), four-corner 37307, composition ⿺辶𠂤)
