Univerbation of (bul, fire) +‎ (hyeon, past adnominal of now archaic 혀다 (hyeoda, to turn on a light, to light a fire)) +‎ (deut, as if; appearance, likeness, dependent noun): "as if one has lit a fire", in reference to the sudden glare of light.
