Etymology[edit]

Either from -ոյթ (-oytʿ) +‎ -իւն (-iwn) or from Proto-Indo-European *-tion with Latin -tio as a cognate.

  • Often abbreviated as -ութի՟ (-utʿi.) = -ութիւն (-utʿiwn), -ութե՟ (-utʿe.) = -ութեան (-utʿean), -ութէ՟ (-utʿē.) = -ութենէ (-utʿenē).
