  1. (nominal-forming suffix) Added to a noun or a present participle to form a noun or an adjective, indicating playful, non-serious actions or depreciatingly those considered pointless or reckless.
    háború (war) + ‎-sdi → ‎háborúsdi (playing soldiers)
    A gyerekek egyik kedvenc játéka a háborúsdi volt.One of the favorites of the children was to play soldiers.

Usage notes[edit]

During the Hungarian language reform, the -sdi suffix was used to create several other types of words such as ósdi (adjective) and élősdi (noun).
