Cognates with the same ablaut: Proto-Indo-European *-mno- as in Latin alu-mnu-s. Cognates with a different ablaut: Proto-Indo-European *-men- as in Ancient Greek ποιμήν (poimḗn, shepherd), Proto-Indo-European *-mō as in Latin sermō.

Declension[edit]

Proterokinetic inflection. The plural is formed by the collective noun suffix *-h₂ and ends in *-mō.
