Proto-Semitic[edit]

Numeral[edit]

*śalāθ- (*ślaθ-)

  1. three

Comment[edit]

Numerals 3-10 were formed with abstract/collective Afro-Asiatic suffix -t. Bare root morpheme continued to be used with feminine nouns, which led to various "gender polarity" phenomena in various Semitic languages.
