Descendants[edit]

This root is only attested for OE, ON, and Gml (< *Osx). We can be pretty safe to assume also an Odt form as well, although the Dutch word doesn't appear until 1575 (which is fairly late), so it too may be a borrowing. Do we really have a Gmh attestation?
