Langugages of the ancient Near East are the languages used in early civilizations in Mesopotamia, Persia, Anatolia, the Levant, as well as ancient Egypt (see Category:Egyptian language), from the dawn of writing ca. 3500 BC to the Greek conquest of Alexander the Great in 330 BC.
