Conventions[edit]

I think it's probably best to list the 'singular' form of nouns under the nominative singular. It's a little counterintuitive sometimes because French has retained mainly the oblique case (for example mur, murs, whereas in Old French using the nominative case it would be murs, mur, exactly the other way around). Right now, the template {{fro-noun}} is set up to use the nominative singular as the base form, so if we (I?) decided to change our minds, I'd have to rewrite it. And frankly, I don't think there are going to be thousands of us editing this category. Mglovesfun 10:25, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
