Cyrillic + alphabet. Named after Saint Cyril (Ancient Greek Κύριλλος (Kurillos)), who devised a predecessor to Cyrillic script, the Glagolitic alphabet.

  1. An alphabet developed in the 9th century[1] in Bulgaria, devised for writing the Old Church Slavonic liturgical language, and its adaptations used for several Slavic and other languages of Eastern Europe and Asia.
