From Dzongkha and Tibetan འབྲུག་ཡུལ ('brug yul, "country of Bhutan"); འབྲུག་རྒྱལ་ཁབ ('brug rgyal khab, "Kingdom of Bhutan"); from Dzongkha འབྲུག ('brug, "Bhutan"); འབྲུག་པ ('brug pa, "Bhutanese").
