Sie ist benannt nach August Johann Rösel von Rosenhof der mit seinen berühmten „Insectenbelustigungen“ zu einem Wegbereiter wissenschaftlicher Naturbeobachtungen wurde. Hier zu sehen ein Männliches Exemplar
English: Description:Roesel's bush-cricket Metrioptera roeseli is a European bush-cricket, named after August Johann Rösel von Rosenhof, a German entomologist. Its song is very similar to that of Savi's Warbler. As shown a male.
Français : Description: Decticelle bariolée (Metrioptera roeseli) mâle. Le nom de l'espèce commémore l'entomologiste allemand August Johann Rösel von Rosenhof (1705-1759). Son chant est similaire à celui de la Locustelle luscinioïde.
