This index lists ASL signs that begin with the dominant hand making the “C” shape.
“C” at or near the nondominant hand
“C” at or near the upper part of the head
“C” at or near the lower part of the head
“C” in or beside the space in front of the torso
- “Flat C” — with the fingers and thumb partially bent at the base but otherwise straight
- “Small C” — with only the index finger and thumb curved, the other fingers closed to the palm
