Proto-Finnic (countable and uncountable, plural Proto-Finnics)

  1. (linguistics, uncountable) The hypothetical ancestor language or protolanguage of the Baltic-Finnic languages. Usually written with the UPA-transcription system.
  2. (anthropology, countable) A person who spoke the Proto-Finnic language.
