Historical term?[edit]

Is this term used in the modern day or is it more of a historical term referring to a form of warfare used during dynastic China? 24.29.228.33 05:29, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is definitely a historical term. It is a tactic that is referenced in Sun Zi as well as on numerous occassions in Romance of the Three Kingdoms. However, it does seem to find occassional usage in modern times, but usually more in a figurative sense. -- A-cai 14:12, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
