Alternate pronunciation?[edit]

Can it also be pronounced jié? The Chinese Wikipedia article on the 羯鼓 states that this instrument's name could also be written as 鞨鼓. As I don't think the pronunciation would have changed with the alternate character, can it be determined if jié is indeed an alternate pronunciation in this case? 24.93.170.200 11:46, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
