If we're going to list "managing director" it should be very clearly noted that it is an offensive misuse by MBA-type morons who think that by proclaiming invalid credentials, they might garner undeserved respect. The irony of course, is that they shoot themselves in the foot; one can't help but think less of a person who'd hide behind fake credentials. --Connel MacKenzie 13:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Huh? Where companies have managing directors, MD means managing director. I know in the US, people give their names as Such and Such, MD, meaning "medical doctor". But here (East Africa), doctors are pretty much always Dr. Such and Such. So and So, MD means he is the managing director of a company. Robert Ullmann 14:37, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
