Needs definition expanded. Griffon in english is an alternate spelling for gryphon, several breeds of dogs, and a couple types of vultures. --69.11.248.10 19:02, 20 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, gryphon is the alternate spelling of griffon. The dogs and vultures have griffon as only part of their name, and should not be listed as meanings of the word griffon in the English language. --Connel MacKenzie 23:18, 22 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
