Definition[edit]

I have replaced the following two definitions with the third one. The first two definitions were separated in the article by a semicolon.

Definition Note
The institution of higher education. One single institution? Really? Given the definite article, which one of the many?
Universities and other higher-education establishments collectively. Roughly matches the definition from Wikipedia.
The scientific and cultural community engaged in higher education and research, taken as a whole. Wikipedia definition, as of today.

Portuguese[edit]

Being born and bred in Rio de Janeiro, living here for more than 40 years now, I never heard the word "academia" being applied to "hopscotch" ("amarelinha" here). I also never heard of it as a regionalism elsewhere in Brazil. Rslemos (talk) Rslemos (talk) 23:20, 1 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
