Usage notes[edit]

Although not particularly relevant, the origins of the colloquial form of the word "Aggro" seem to be in dispute. Early British punk rockers have laid claim to "Aggro" along with Southern California skateboarders of the early 1970's. Both groups offer similar definitions for "Aggro". In modern days, the American downhill mountain biking scene has spawned an entire category of bicycles designated as "Aggro". In the American BMX (Bicycle Moto Cross) racing scene, an East Coast based racing team called Aggro Bikes features skilled bicycle riders who excel in racing competitions on dirt tracks with multiple obstacles. Whatever the origin or particular discipline that's responsible for the word, all of the above definitions appear to seamlessly fit.
