Hello

I wonder why somebody added rayon as a translation of aisle.

rayon in french is as said in the rayon page, a section of the store.

I don't personnally know of any specific word for a passage between what we call gondoles i.e. the shelves of a supermarket, except maybe allée, wich is far more general. A rayon' may encompass from a part of a shelf to more than one shelf. We have one rayon for the coffee, one for meat, one for bread and so on.
