It's been getting a lot of use recently but Google Books found citations back to 2005. RJFJR 13:08, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect[edit]

This article's definition is not quite correct. There are several sources already in the Wikipedia article that indicate the term is not only used for children of illegal immigrants, but of any immigrant.--76.123.106.89 23:52, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There are may be multiple definitions, but this seems to be the only notable one for this jargon term. There seems to be one source in Wikipedia that gives a less specific term and does not specify the type of immigrant but specifies immigrant over alien. This article's definition is more clear and seems to be spot on. 174.252.25.95 03:56, 25 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Nonsense. The Wikipedia article cites two different dictionaries (the only ones that currently have an entry for this term) and neither specify that the term refers to illegal immigrants.--Cuchullain (talk) 15:43, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Rewrite[edit]

Hi, I have taken a stab at rewriting the source per the dictionaries which I've included. I'm chiefly a Wikipedia editor, so if I've done something wrong, I would be grateful for assistance from more experienced editors here.--Cuchullain (talk) 16:00, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
