Rfv-sense: A sieve, especially a long fine sieve used in milling for bolting flour and meal; a bolter.. Apparently there's a Ben Jonson quote out there, but there seems to be nothing in his works that would fit this sense. Roger the Rodger (talk) 14:29, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The sense appears in the OED but there's no mention of a Jonson quote. All the applicable quotations are just mentions from dictionaries and glossaries. There are two quotations for bolt-cloth (cloth used for sieving). — SGconlaw (talk) 14:46, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
