Participles are often used that way- think of constructions like "half-eaten toast". That doesn't make them adjectives. Chuck Entz (talk) 22:38, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think this would meet some tests for being a true adjective: modification by "too" and "very", use in "more burnt than" as a comparative, coordination with adjectives. DCDuring TALK 14:01, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
