First defintion is SoP and second needs citations. How does casualty of war mean truth and innocence? JamesjiaoTC 02:54, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Did you mean SoP? bd2412 T 04:22, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • First is definitely SoP. Truth is said to be the "first casualty of war". (I would just delete this) SemperBlotto (talk) 07:51, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm cool if it's decided that does not meet the criteria for inclusion here, I was worried that it didn't and did ask at ehe tea room for help to check. SoP wise, to my mind the words combined have a greater semantic content than individually, for me when I across it in a newspaper say, the mental image it paints is different from that when I come across them alone, and its become a stock phrase that writers use to paint such a picture.--KTo288 (talk) 10:26, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Delete, first one is SoP, second one is I imagine a metaphor. I bet it can't be cited to mean truth as in "tell me the casualty of war" (tell me the truth). Mglovesfun (talk) 11:33, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
