- Sense 2, (motorcycle) is generally intended ironically, as to mock inexperienced riders who think the narrowest width of unused tire tread is a testament to riding skill or courage.
- Actually, the width of the "chicken strips" often is a testament to riding skill (or courage/stupidity). True, a skilled rider doesn't necessarly ride with high degrees of lean in traffic all the time. But the skill needed to manouver the vehicle in such a way that produces narrow "chicken strips" is something that needs to be kept fresh and thus practiced regularly. Being skilled at riding in such a way is not "squidish" behaviour; in fact it is absolutely necessary in order to be able to avoid accidents, and it is the reason why it is part of the driver's license test in most countries.
- In summary: someone who has wide "chicken strips" on otherwise worn tires, but still claims to be a skilled rider, will have to be lying.
- The conclusion will have to be that anyone claiming that only inexperienced riders think that chicken strips is a testament to riding skill or courage (stupidity), will have to be someone trying to dismiss remarks on his/her own lack of driving skill.
- Thus, the segment above should be removed.
