Talk:chips

Why is it that when I search for chips (uk & aus name for usa french fries) I get very little; compared to typing in French Fries. To me, this is a typical American attitude to the rest of the world; very insular. Here, I see a chip as being a much larger french fry (less than halve the width & height of a chip) and thus contains much less fat. Searching on 'chip' should produce a picture, etc, of a proper 'french fry'. — This comment was unsigned.

en.wiktionary.org has a very long history of the opposite bias. I am very surprised to hear such a complaint. I suggest you "be bold" in adding the UK definition (tagged with {{UK}}, of course,) along with the requisite picture. --Connel MacKenzie 14:51, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
