Rfv-sense: coalescing means uniting, blending or growing together, but coalescer is defined as separator, which does not seem very likely:

False alert. Coalescer coalesces fatty or oily elements in an emulsion to facilitate their separation. Edited the definition accordingly.--Hekaheka 18:52, 25 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
