French translation[edit]

I've found the translation as "le crib", although I suspect that is probably Franglais...Perhaps the Académie Français has another word for it? zigzig20s 17:34, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not the Card Game[edit]

I saw the word "cribbage" in a book I am currently reading, which from context, cannot possibly mean the card game:

"Fortunately, I managed to grab some of the cribbage on the way into the water, so I only went in about waist-deep." --Alan Doyle. "Where I Belong." Doubleday Canada. 2014. P. 169.

I am assuming from context that this means some sort of netting on the side of a dock? I am not certain. However, looking in several online dictionaries I can only find the definition referring to the card game. Can someone familiar with this usage please add the second definition?
