I don't think this is a mere colloquialism, but a proper term in the standard language. hjp has an entry for download as: "inform. prenijeti/prenositi i učitati/učitavati datoteke, programe i sl. s Interneta na računalo ili s glavnog računala na vanjski uređaj ili udaljeno računalo". Maybe we should differentiate download from this variant because of the spelling, but I am not that versed in the present Croatian orthography so feel free to revert my edit, if I am wrong about this. --biblbroksдискашн 21:21, 24 May 2013 (UTC)
- You're right, the colloquial tag is probably redundant. As far as orthography goes, I'm none the wiser. According to Google, though, "downloadati" seems to be much more common than "daunloudati" in Croatia (I guess I should have done the search before creating the entry). "Downloadovati" also gets a lot of hits even in Serbia, so I don't know how that fits the rule of spelling things phonetically (or what the "main" entry for the Serbian version should be). I honestly don't know how to handle this entry, it looks like I've opened up a can of worms. Fejstkajkafski (talk) 09:32, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

Simply deciding upon dilemma: either we follow the Croatian and Serbian (and Bosnian and Montenegrin) spelling rules to explicitly differ the term "download" as strictly and only Croatian that is with the template,
{{Croatia}}(or something like this). Provided that other two standards (or three, I don't know if Montenegrins have developed a standard for their variety) don't mention "download". The second solution is to forget about the spelling rules altogether since all variants (downloadati, daunloudati, downloadovati, daunloudovati) surely are in use and it's probably only the matter of time when the phonetic variants will be allowed into all standard languages if they aren't already. As is the case with "fajl", or "daun" for that matter (hjp has entries for both). - Except if the swarming worms created
