Another sense of the word[edit]

I believe their might be a second, more narrow, sense of the word, as it is used in American English in recent years if not elsewhere. This is where the term day laborer is used specifically to refer to immigrant day laborers, particularly immigrants who are in the "informal sector" of the economy (economist lingo) or, more controversially but widely used, illegal aliens or undocumented workers (political speech). I do not know the subtleties of Wiktionary definitions so I believe it is best if I don't take the initiative to add this second sense just now. But I am interested in what others think.
