Rare/Outdated in English?[edit]

I have not seen this word used in anything modern and Google seems to confirm that: Google Ngram Viewer implication vs. explication

It's still in use, but mostly in very academic contexts- especially literary criticism. It's definitely not a word one would use in casual conversation. Chuck Entz (talk) 00:41, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
