Possible etymology?[edit]

This word seems similar to Latin felicitas, and many Italic languages seem to have similar words albeit different meanings.

It could also be derived from felicity + -ous, which in turn is from felicitas < felix ... It would be original research if I added it, so I noted here ... thoughts? -- 203.171.192.64 21:40, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
