Condition of being fit[edit]

I note that sense #3 is another version of sense #1 where a specific sense of fit is used. It would be good for translation purposes, and debatably for comprehension purposes to split definition #1 to match the senses of fit. For example in British slang where fit means 'sexually attractive', fitness can mean 'sexual attractiveness' which would be the same as 'the condition of being fit', but very in terms of actual meaning to fitness in terms of regular exercise, or fitness in terms of appropriate ('I question the fitness of this lawyers').
