A more obvious etymology

Wouldn't it be more reasonable to assert the similarity with the Danish word fisse which has the same meaning as the Norwegian word, and furthermore would it not be an obvious connection between these two and the word fissure, meaning a crack or crevasse? Also, the interchangeability of s and t is a common linguistic phenomenon in Norwegian and related languages as well. Examples of this would be the German Wasser corresponding to English water, Swedish vatten and Nynorsk vatn (yet vassdrag (“body of water”); vasse (“wade”)). __meco 09:05, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
