Translation into Swedish[edit]

The Swedish translation of the sixth noun definition 'chunk of data' might possibly be considered a protologism, since it is the recommended term (by Svenska datatermgruppen), though in practice the English term is almost exclusively used.--sanna 21:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Missing verbal definition[edit]

Should there not be a verbal definition for the act of actually putting a physical frame around a painting or other picture?--sanna 21:32, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Despite the presence of several computing noun definitions here, the sense within "stack frame" does not seem to be covered. Equinox 03:58, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at Frame#Computing and telecommunications, page frame seems to use a similar sense (and I feel like frame (networking) is also a vaguely similar sense), but I don't really know how to articulate what it is. --Pokechu22 (talk) 04:09, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It is (phrased badly) a single structured item within a larger list or structure made up of that kind of item. But only in certain cases, since we don't use the term for e.g. array elements. Equinox 04:11, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
